Deepti and Suneet Mittal with their daughters |
As the proud parents of two daughters who both entered Dalton in kindergarten, Suneet and I have long recognized the role that Dalton has played in shaping their lives. Our girls have thrived at Dalton and benefited from a philosophy that stresses academic excellence through an individualized approach to learning. The net result of this progressive education is the development of a well-rounded child. Over the past 13 years, we have seen Dalton accomplish this within a diverse community that reflects New York City’s population.
To ensure that Dalton continues to grow and prosper for generations to come, support must go beyond tuition. Over the years, Suneet and I have supported Dalton in different ways and have regularly participated in the school’s fundraising endeavors, including the Annual Fund, the Campaign, and Spring Benefit. As Co-Chair of Dalton’s Annual Fund for four years, I have come to appreciate that the “value of contribution and individual participation” at every level helps our school in numerous ways.
To meet the future needs of the school, we feel that planned giving is essential and have named Dalton as a beneficiary in our estate planning. Becoming members of the Parkhurst Society ensures that our support of Dalton will continue long after we are gone. Like the contributions of others before us, we hope that our small contribution will help the next generation of Dalton students “go forth unafraid.” We are proud to be part of Dalton’s legacy as the school approaches its 100th year!
